Hope you spent Labor Day weekend sending summer off in style!
It's almost time to trade our swimsuits for sweaters, but before we do let's celebrate summer's finale Paper & Glam style...with a home tour.
This tour shows the decor that takes me from late spring into early fall. It's also a progress report showing the changes I've made since the Spring Home Tour.
For this edition of the home tour series, I teamed up with London's My Casita Living! My Casita Living graciously asked if they could feature my apartment and I couldn't be happier to share it. Last week, they posted Bette Midler's Manhattan Home, and wow, this is a must see! Be sure to check out My Casita Living's Interiors section for more from my home as well as an interview sharing a few of my thoughts on home decor.
Without further ado, welcome to my home!
FOYER
In the entry way, I added a teal rosette wreath from Home Goods. It's on the inside of the door since my building doesn't allow adornments in the hallway. Plus this way I get to enjoy it!
To add some fun and color, I lined up my favorite heels. Typically, I prefer things put away, but for now, I love going by my party shoes on the way out.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is pretty much the same as Spring Home Tour, but I did change up the island.
This teal tray in the center of the island from Hobby Lobby. If you like it, Hobby Lobby comes out with different colors each summer. The tray holds pretty paper straws for mixing summer drinks from Target, gumballs, old fashioned candy, and a Bath & Body Works Sun Tan candle.
DINING ROOM
In the dining room this summer, I've been loving mixed roses inspired by The Ivy's unique and eclectic decor.
LIVING ROOM
This is an overview of the living room area. As you can see, I'm still in need of an art piece above the couch. I've been hoping this one goes up on Joss & Main or HauteLook since both sites feature Oliver Gal.
The tea light in this precious pink mimosa lantern adds a little sparkle to my Netflix watching. Z Gallerie makes these adorable lanterns each summer in various it colors. I found myself quite tempted by the aquamarine they released this summer!
The Bath & Body Works Palm Leaves candles burns on my coffee table.
Let's walk into the library...
LIBRARY
In the library, I added Kate Spade Nesting Boxes. I've yet to get them organized and incorporated into my Expedit bookshelf, but they are staged and ready for that organization mission.
The library is pretty close to the Spring Home Tour as well, but here's some new detail shots for your viewing pleasure.
OFFICE
In the office, I moved the pink West Elm drawers from my bedroom to my desktop for extra office supply storage and easy access to pens and washi.
The office shelves are business as usual with the addition of my Sisters of Los Angeles candles. The Sisters make them for a variety of cities, but of course, I had to bring home the Los Angeles and most recently, the California candle.
This bottle of Pink champagne (strawberry and peach, yum!) celebrated my resignation from my prior job and she's now a pretty vase reminding me of that victory dance. Fittingly enough, she's accompanied by an Endless Weekend candle from Bath & Body Works.
BATHROOM
In the bathroom, I added mirrored shelves from West Elm for extra counter space and a mirrored frame by Threshold for Target. The print inside the frame is a page of wet lipsticks I ripped out of the June issue of InStyle.
BEDROOM
My nightstand is very similar to this post, with the addition of a Sunset Beach candle easing me into summer's sunset.
On my other nightstand, my latest literary acquisition is I Am That Girlby Alexis Jones. I hope we can pick up this read one month for The Paper & Glam Book Club. Another great find is this acrylic bookstand from Erin Condren. If you're interested in this, or any of her other products, use this link for $10 off. To replace the pink West Elm drawers that moved to the office and held various baubles, I found this mirrored apothecary jar at Home Goods.
Lastly, this gold sequin hanger from Pearls & Pastries holds my Great Gatsby costume quite glamorously.
If you'd like to see more detail, there's a video walk-through of my apartment on the Paper & Glam channel.
I hope you enjoyed this installment of the home tour series. If you're wondering why my fall decor isn't up yet, it's still hotter than the 4th of July in Denver! Sweater weather is coming but it's not here yet.
