October Book Club Selection

I'm excited to announce October's Paper & Glam book club selection is Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl.

The Fall Home Tour

Happy 1st Day of Fall!

Fall is all about transitions. As the weather changes from blazing hot to cool and crisp, we slowly transition our wardrobes and our homes right along with Mother Nature. Over the weekend, I ushered in fall with some cozy home decor updates. This post (and video walk-thru) details how my home transitions from summer to fall.

Ready for the tour? Let's do it, but first, how cute is that cable-knit pot holding some hearty mums?!

{KITCHEN}

The kitchen received the bulk of my fall updates as I dream of whipping up some of my favorite fall recipes.

Fall tea towels provide both pretty decor and utilitarian allure.

This pumpkin pedestal won my heart this year. I love that it does double duty as a candle holder or a cupcake stand for sweet fall treats.

My coffee bar is ready to pumpkin spice it up in a cable-knit mug. 
If you've seen my previous home tours, then you may know I love to fill these apothecary jars to create a candy bar (and it will be back for Halloween!), but for fall, I filled these jars with non-edibles -- pumpkins and harvest corn vase fillers from Hobby Lobby.

This adorable gold bow hook hangs my vintage Jesse Steele apron and an oven mit in anticipation of fall baking. Pumpkin spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting anyone?

To keep things from feeling cluttered I kept the center island simple with fresh pink lady apples, a pumpkin place setting, and a pumpkin apple candle.

{LIVING ROOM}

In the living room, I simply swapped out the bright colors for the earth tones of fall, stashing away pink pillows and accents to allow the oranges to take center stage.

Fall leaves from Cost Plus World Market embellish my media console.

A three-wick Sweater Weather candle burns on my coffee table alongside two sparkley glitter pumpkins from Z Gallerie.  

My couch isn't complete without a pumpkin pillow!

{LIBRARY}

My library is largely unchanged - there's already a lot goin on in here - except for swapping white pillar candles for white pumpkins, and a sparkly pink glitter pumpkins I made a few years back.

{BATHROOM}

In my bathroom, I added a mercury pumpkin, a baby Sweater Weather candle, and a trio of fall themed Lush bath bombs (Fizzbanger - Candy Apple, Pheonix Rising - Cinnamon Apple, and Honeybee - Honey Toffee) in the vintage candy dish.

{BEDROOM}

Fall reads grace my nightstand along with a pink velour pumpkin and an autumn candle burning brightly.

My closet door is adorned with a fall dress displayed with a sparkly hanger from Pearls & Pastries.

This last update may be my most industrious. In the hopes of making my closet a boutiquey space, I added a hot pink lacquer lack shelf from IKEA to display a few of my favorite fall accessories

Erin Condren Life Planner 2014-2015

Happy Friday!

Today we're talking planners! After a month of waiting, the 2015 Erin Condren Life Planner arrived at my dollhouse in Denver. This is Christmas in July!

The new accessories available with this version are better than ever:

1. This year I chose the Gold & White Edition of the life planner.
2. The Event Stickers are now not only customizable but repositionable! This is great for all those times when meetings or schedules push out, and more likely, when I skip my workout.
3. With the new Coil Clips, EC solves the problem of a bound planner allowing us to add invitations, tickets, memorabilia, and anything else we may want to include in our planners! 
4. My favorite colored pens to use in my planner are the Triplus Fineliner. 
5. On the ballpoint front, I'm loving the signature pens from Poppin.
